Ingredients to make No onion no garlic Chole ( Tiranga by chance)

  • cauliflower steamed and blended 1/2 cup
  • carrot steamed and blended 1/2 cup
  • Chole soaked overnight 1 cup
  • Fresh shredded coconut 1/2 cup
  • sesame seeds roasted 1 tbsp
  • All khada masaala. ( bay leaves, pepper, elaichi, taj , Lavington )
  • tomato 3 no.
  • ginger grated 1 tbsp
  • Chole masala 1 tsp
  • Salt, chilli powder according to taste.
  • coriander leaves 1/2 cup
  • oil for seasoning
  • Fresh cream- 2 tbsp

How to make No onion no garlic Chole ( Tiranga by chance)

  1. Blend coconut, ginger, coriander leaves, sesame seeds together.
  2. Saute in oil , add all masalas.
  3. Saute a little and than add Chole.
  4. Add water and pressure cook in pressure pan or handi.
  5. Blend tomatoes. Take little oil in a pan . Add khada masaala , add tomato and saute.
  6. Blend cauliflower and carrot and add to pan, saute a little and add to cooked Chole and boil a little.
  7. Serve in a bowl. Garnish with fresh cream and coriander leaves.

My Tip:

Cauliflower will give creamy texture and pressure cooking chole with coriander and coconut will give a very different taste.
