Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. For dough:
  2. 1 - 3/4 cup to 2 - 1/4 cups all purpose flour
  3. 1 envelope rapid rise or instant dry yeast
  4. 1 - 1/2 tsp sugar
  5. 3/4 tsp salt
  6. 2/3 cup very warm water (120 to 130 degree farenheit)
  7. 3 tablespoons oil
  8. 1/2 cup melted butter
  9. 3 tbsp garlic Parmesan cheese
  10. 1 tbsp red chili flakes
  11. 1 tsp Oregano

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degree centigrade.
  2. Make the dough: Combine 1 cup flour, undissolved yeast, sugar and salt in a large bowl. Add in the very warm water and oil. Mix until well blended for about 1 minute.
  3. Gradually add enough remaining flour to make a soft dough. The dough should form a ball and will be slightly sticky.
  4. Knead on a floured surface, until smooth and elastic, about 4 minutes. Wrap dough in a greased cling film and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  5. Combine butter, Parmesan cheese, chili flakes, and oregano. Whisk well.
  6. Make 8 equal sized balls of the dough. Roll them in long strips (about 8 inch long) and shape them like a knot with both ends tucked in.
  7. Line a baking tray with oven proof parchment paper. Arrange the knots on the tray with sufficient gap in between them.
  8. Brush the knots with the prepared butter with a pastry brush thoroughly.
  9. Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes or till its golden in color. Rotate tray once in between baking time.
  10. Serve warm with marinara sauce.
