ABOUT Creamy Classy Pasta RECIPE

Delicious penne pasta in creamy white sauce.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Penne pasta 1 cup (uncooked)
  2. Milk 1/2 litre (boiled and cooled)
  3. butter 1 tablespoon
  4. Olive oil 1 tablespoon
  5. Garlic 4 to 5 cloves
  6. Onion 1 medium sized
  7. American corn 4 tablespoon
  8. Maida 1 tablespoon
  9. Chilli flakes as per taste
  10. Mixed Italian seasoning as per taste
  11. salt as per taste
  12. Black pepper powder as per taste
  13. Cheese 5 to 6 tablespoon
  14. Basil leaves a few

Instructions

  1. Boil water and cook the penne pasta till almost done (Al dente).
  2. Drain the water and pour some cold water on to the cooked pasta to stop overcooking.
  3. In a pan add olive oil, butter, finely chopped garlic and fry for about 30 seconds.
  4. Add finely chopped onion and fry for about 2 minutes. Add the corn ( I have used frozen corn) and fry for about 2 minutes
  5. Meanwhile, mix maida with 4 tablespoon milk and make a paste without any lumps.
  6. Once the onion and corn are cooked, add the milk and maida mixture and stir continuously.
  7. Add the remaining milk and cook on a low to medium heat.
  8. Add chilli flakes, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, grated cheese and cook till it melts.
  9. Add basil leaves (tear them with hands before adding). Add pasta and mix.
  10. Serve it hot with garlic bread.
