Ingredients to make Hummus

  • 450 gm chickpeas thoroughly cooked
  • 1/2 cup olive oil (extra required for serving)
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp sesame seed paste
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • salt to taste
  • pinch of red chilli powder

How to make Hummus

  1. 1. In a food processor/blender, add chickpeas, garlic, sesame seed paste, lemon juice, cumin powder, salt and olive oil.
  2. 2. Blend it to obtain a thick puree. Add little water, if required.
  3. 3. Place the mixture in bowl. Drizzle with extra olive oil and sprinkle some red chilli powder on top.
  4. 4. Serve with tacos, breads, rolls, anything you like.
