Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Crumbled cheese - 1 cup
  2. Chopped onion - 1/2 cup
  3. Chopped green chillies - 2
  4. Ginger Garlic paste - 1 tsp
  5. Garam Masala - 1/2 tsp
  6. Chopped coriander leaves (optional)
  7. egg - 1
  8. Salt according to taste
  9. Dhaniya powder - 1/4 tsp
  10. Red chilli powder or flakes - 1/4 tsp
  11. Jeera - a pinch
  12. Oil - 1 tbsp
  13. For the dough : maida 1 1/2 cup
  14. Oil - 2 tsp
  15. Salt - 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. Make a dough of maida, oil, salt and water. The dough should be soft enough. Keep aside.
  2. In a pan, put oil and some jeera. Let it crackle.
  3. Add ginger and garlic paste. Saute for a minute or two.
  4. Add salt, red chilli flakes, dhaniya powder, garam masala and saute for another 2 to 3 minutes.
  5. Add in the crumbled paneer. Mix it well. The filling is ready.
  6. Now take a small dumpling of adequate size and roll it like a roti.
  7. Now put the prepared filling in the centre, put some onions, green chillies and an egg. ( Maximum 3/4 egg is sufficient otherwise it will come out of the sides).
  8. Now cover it from all sides like a plain parantha. But after that do not roll it with the rolling pin. Just pat it 2-3 times.
  9. Heat a tawa and put the roti on it.
  10. Add oil while the roti is being cooked to get a crispy roti.
  11. Cook it from both sides.
  12. Delicious and crunchy paneer baida roti is ready. Cut it into 4 halves and enjoy with tomato sauce and green chutney.
