ABOUT Tricolor Sandwich RECIPE

A quick and healthy sandwich to give a patriotic feel to our food.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For the Orange layer Carrot - 1 medium
  2. Cheese slices - 2
  3. Ground black pepper as per choice
  4. Salt to taste
  5. For the green layer Fresh Pudina / Mint leaves - 1/2 cup
  6. Scraped fresh coconut - 1/4 cup
  7. Small green Chili - 1
  8. Ginger - 1/2 inch
  9. Garlic - 2 cloves
  10. 2 tsp Lemon juice
  11. Salt to taste
  12. 6 Bread Slices
  13. Butter - 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Take grated carrot in a mixing bowl and add grated cheese, salt and ground black pepper to it. Mix properly and set aside. The orange layer for tricolor sandwich is ready.
  2. In a blender add all the ingredients of green layer and blend to make the green layer. You can replace mint with coriander if you wish to.
  3. Apply butter on the slices of bread. If you want, you can remove the edges of the slices. Now place the bread slice on a plate. Spread the Carrot dip on it evenly. Place a plain slice over it to form the white layer.
  4. Apply green chutney evenly on the third bread slice and place it on the plain slice facing downwards.
  5. Press all the layers gently and cut the sandwich length wise or into triangles. Serve immediately.
