Cheese and Bread stuffed puffs

Ingredients to make Cheese and Bread stuffed puffs

  • Chopped Basil 1 tsp
  • Pizza topper 1/2 tbsp
  • garlic clove 1
  • olive Oil 1 tsp
  • pepper a small pinch
  • salt - to taste
  • Red cheddar and Mozeralla mixed 1/3 cup
  • Bread 2 slices
  • Readymade Puff Pastry 75 gms
  • wheat flour 1 or 2 tsp for dusting the pastry

How to make Cheese and Bread stuffed puffs

  1. Chop basil and add pizza topper, salt, pepper, garlic and olive oil into a small bowl and mix them well.
  2. Defrost the puff block for 45 minutes.
  3. Cut the bread into thin strips like a French fries width and length.
  4. Take the puff block. Add wheat flour to roll the pastry.
  5. Roll the pastry like how we do it for chapatti flipping them often. Sprinkle the flour whenever you find it difficult. The flour will be absorbed easily as puff pastry has lot of oil inside it.
  6. We will get around 20 cm x 20 cm size square pastry after rolling it thin.
  7. Cut the puff pastry into thin slices of 10 cm length and 4 cm width.
  8. Brush them with the basil salad oil. Add the cheese. Place one bread slice on top of the cheese.
  9. Fold the puff pastry which is in the bottom most layer. Cover all the four sides. Place them one by one on the oven tray.
  10. Preheat oven at 180 degree centigrade for 5 minutes. Bake it for 20 to 25 minutes.
  11. Cheese and Bread stuffed Puffs are ready.
