Baked Cheesy Cauliflower

Ingredients to make Baked Cheesy Cauliflower

  • cauliflower florets medium size 10
  • Cube cheese 2
  • maida 2 tsp
  • butter 2 tbsp
  • Milk 1 cup
  • salt to taste
  • Blackpepper 1 tsp
  • Green onion leaves for garnishing
  • Small pieces of carrot for garnishing

How to make Baked Cheesy Cauliflower

  1. Preheat the oven to 190 degree centigrade. Wash the cauliflower thoroughly and place in a large saucepan of salted water. Bring to a boil and cook for 3-5 minutes, until the cauliflower is almost tender, but still fairly firm. Put in a colander and drain the excess water.
  2. For the Sauce: To make the sauce, melt the butter in a medium pan and stir in the flour. Cook over a gentle heat for one minute. Remove the pan from the heat and gradually add the milk,
  3. Stir well in between each addition. Return the pan to a medium heat and bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly. Simmer for two minutes, then remove from heat.
  4. Add grated cheese, salt and black pepper into it. Dip each cauliflower floret in sauce and arrange in an oven proof dish.
  5. Spread leftover sauce on top. Decorate with onion leaves and pieces of carrot. Bake for 15-20 minutes or till brown.
