minapa vadalu is very healthy and tasty.This recipe is very old and mostly prepares in south india.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Urad dal - 250 gms
  2. Rice - 1 spoon
  3. Salt - as per taste
  4. Onions - 2 chopped
  5. Ginger finely chopped 2 inches
  6. Curryleaves - handful chopped
  7. Freah coriander leaves - handful chopped
  8. Cumin seeds - 1 spoon
  9. Green chillies - 5
  10. Oil & water as required

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak the skinless black gram and rice for 4 hours .After that strain the water grind in to fine paste in grinder or food processor.
  2. Remove the ground paste into the bowl and add cuminseeds,chopped onion,ginger,green chilli,curry leaves and fresh coriander and mix well so that air incorporated in the batter.
  3. Use banana leaf or wet cloth for making vadas.wet the hand with water and take a small amount of batter press into round shape and make a hole at the center.
  4. In the meanwhile heat the oil in deep pan for deep fry in medium heat.
  5. Drop all the prepared vadas slowly into the medium heat oil.
  6. Fry both sides until they turns golden brown colour.
  7. Remove from the oil and transfer to the serving plate.
  8. Our delicious black gram vadas are crispy outside and very soft inside.
  9. Serve hot with groundnut chutney,ginger chutney, sambar or else with your favourite chutneys.
