Cheesy Garlic Pesto Rolls

Ingredients to make Cheesy Garlic Pesto Rolls

  • all purpose flour 1 1/2 cups
  • salt to taste
  • Cheese grated 1 cup
  • Oregano 1 tsp
  • garlic crushed 1
  • water, luke warm 3/4 cup
  • olive oil 2 tsp
  • Pesto sauce 3 tbsp
  • Instant yeast 1 tsp

How to make Cheesy Garlic Pesto Rolls

  1. Mix the flour, oregano, half cheese, salt and yeast. Add oil and water to make a dough. Knead it well. It may be a little sticky but that is fine. Keep it in a greased bowl in a warm place, for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
  2. After an hour, pre heat the oven. Take out the dough. Punch it and knead lightly. Take half of it and roll it out. Spoon the pesto sauce on it. Sprinkle garlic and some grated cheese. Now roll it tightly and close the ends.
  3. Cut it into rolls and place on a baking tray. Take the rest of the dough and repeat the same. Sprinkle some more cheese. Now keep the baking tray in the oven.
  4. Do not turn it on. Let the rolls rise again for about 45 minutes.
  5. After it has risen, bake it for about 25 minutes at 170 degree centigrade.
  6. Serve hot.
