Mixed Cereals and Chole frankie

Ingredients to make Mixed Cereals and Chole frankie

  • Chole 1 cup (soaked overnight)
  • chana dal (soaked overnight)
  • rice cooked 1/2 cup
  • Quakers oats 1/2 cup
  • Raw banana 3
  • wheat flour 2 cups
  • onion 4 to 5
  • carrot grated 1/2 cup
  • cabbage shredded 1/2 cup
  • capsicum slits 1/2 cup
  • sesame seeds 1 tbsp
  • coconut powder 2 tbsp
  • ginger Garlic paste 2 tsp
  • Garam masala 1 tsp
  • tomato ketchup as required
  • Salt and pepper as per taste

How to make Mixed Cereals and Chole frankie

  1. Pressure cook chole with added salt. Coarse grind.
  2. Pressure cook chana dal and coarse grind.
  3. Boil banana in water until cooked. Remove skin and mash.
  4. Coarse grind oats and mix.
  5. Add cooked rice.
  6. Saute 1 onion and add.
  7. Add all masala, ginger garlic paste, coriander leaves, sesame seeds, coconut powder and mix.
  8. Apply oil to the hand and shape oval cutlets.
  9. Knead wheat flour. Roll roti and cook with a little oil applied.
  10. Put the cutlet, carrot, cabbage, capsicum, onion and make franky.
  11. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.

My Tip:

Let the cutlet shallow fry on low to medium flame to make it cryspy. And do not over cook both chole and banana.
