Tangy tomato curry.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. 4 tomatoes
  2. 4 green chillies
  3. 1 large onion sliced or chopped.
  4. Few curry leaves
  5. 1/4 tsp mustrad seeds
  6. 3-4 cloves of garlic
  7. 1 tsp kashmiri red chilly powder
  8. Salt as per taste
  9. 2 tsp coconut oil
  10. Water as required

Instructions

  1. Cut and add tomatoes into a blender. Grind into a paste.
  2. In a wok add oil and crushed garlic followed by mustard seeds, when it crackles add curry leaves, green chillies and onions.
  3. Saute till the onions turn translucent. Add tomato paste prepared earlier. Add salt and let it cook, do not add water.
  4. Let it cook until it reduces a little.
  5. Add chilli powder, this is optional, just for colour and spiciness.
  6. Add water 2 cups, you can add more. Let it cook for another 5 - 10 minutes. Serve in a bowl.
  7. Serve with rice, tastes like rasam spicy and tangy.
