Egg Paddu/Appe/Paniyaram

Ingredients to make Egg Paddu/Appe/Paniyaram

  • Dosa batter 1 cup
  • egg 2
  • sesame seeds
  • onion 1/2
  • Green chilies 2
  • curry leaves 4-5
  • pepper powder 1/4 tsp
  • coriander leaves
  • ginger paste 1/2 tsp
  • haldi
  • salt
  • oil

How to make Egg Paddu/Appe/Paniyaram

  1. Take a bowl whisk together eggs, and pepper powder and keep it aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, add sesame seeds, chopped onion, curry leaves, green chilies, ginger paste, coriander leaves, haldi and salt fry for some time. Switch off the flame and mix this to egg mixture. Now add dosa batter to this mixture, mix well.
  3. Heat the paddu pan on a medium flame and pour oil into all the individual moulds.
  4. Next, pour spoonful of the batter into the moulds, taking care to fill up till a little below the brim. Turn the balls and fry on both sides till their skin becomes golden brown. Remove the cooked paddu balls from the paddu pan.
  5. Serve this tasty paddu with chutney.
