Butter-Orange Biscuits

Ingredients to make Butter-Orange Biscuits

  • 5 tbsp Unsalted butter, at room temp
  • 1/2 cup Caster sugar
  • 1.5 kg Plain flour
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 2 tsp Orange Zest
  • 5 tbsp Orange Juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt

How to make Butter-Orange Biscuits

  1. Sift the flour and baking powder in a big bowl. Add salt, caster sugar and orange zest into it and mix everything well.
  2. Add in butter into it and mix well to form crumbly texture. Knead a soft dough with orange juice and add water as required.
  3. Divide the dough in 20 equal balls and flatten them a little on top using fork.
  4. Bake in pre-heated oven for around 12-15 mins or until edges start getting golden in color. Make sure you don’t overbake else cookies will get hard in texture.
  5. Serve warm or store in air-tight container once they are cooled down to room temp.

My Tip:

You can try other flavors the same way: Lemon, Nuts, Coconut etc.
