Ingredients to make Eggless Marble Cake With Chocolate Frosting

  • all purpose flour 180 gms
  • sugar 100 gms
  • Cocoa powder 1 tbsp
  • baking soda ½
  • Baking powder 1 tblspn
  • curd - ½ cup
  • oil 50 ml
  • Vanilla Essence 1 tblspn
  • milk around 100 ml
  • For Frosting:
  • Fresh cream ½ cup
  • butter 4 tblspn
  • Choco chips 3 tblspn or use any chocolate
  • Cocoa powder 2 tblspn
  • sugar 4 tblspn
  • Vanilla Essence ½ tblspn
  • Cadbury Perk Chocolate for sprinkling on cake top

How to make Eggless Marble Cake With Chocolate Frosting

  1. Grease a microwave safe cake pan/bowl and set aside.
  2. Take the flour, baking soda, baking powder in a mixing bowl and mix well.
  3. In a large bowl, take curd, half of milk, oil, sugar, vanilla essence and mix well till the sugar is melted.
  4. Add in the flour mix and fold gently and make a smooth batter. If at all the batter is thick add the milk little at a time and mix well to thin the batter.
  5. Divide the batter into two portion.
  6. Mix the cocoa powder in 2-3 tblspn water or milk.
  7. In one portion add the cocoa powder mix and gently fold the batter and mix well. Set aside. Let the other portion be as it is.
  8. Take the greased pan, first pour a thin layer of the plain batter and let it spread.
  9. Pour the chocolate batter over it and spread it all over.
  10. Pour the remaining plain batter over it.
  11. Spread it and then using a knife swirl the batter to incorporate it together.
  12. Microwave on high for 6 mins. Have a check from 5 mins onwards since the heat of microwave varies from each other.
  13. Insert a tooth pick and see if it comes out clear, if not bake for 1 more min.
  14. Remove it from microwave, let it cool down. Invert it and let it cool completely.
  15. Cut the cake into two layers using a knife. Keep aside.
  16. To make the chocolate frosting, place butter and sugar in a bowl and beat until Creamy and sugar melts completely.
  17. Melt the choco chips and mix with the sugar butter mixture.
  18. Sift the cocoa powder and beat until combined. Set aside
  19. Take the cream in a bowl and beat untill stiff.
  20. Now mix the mixture together and beat until fluffy. Your frosting is ready.
  21. Frosting And Assembling The Cake:
  22. Place 1st cake layer on a serving plate. Evenly spread the frosting on top.
  23. Then layer the 2nd cake over it and spread the remaining frosting all over the sides and on the top.
  24. Sprinkle crushed Cadbury Perk Chocolate on top. Cut and serve.
