Ingredients to make Kiwi and Pear Cake

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1+1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1+1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 Cup butter
  • 1 cup curd
  • 2 kiwis (pureed)
  • 1 large pear (pureed)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • A pinch of salt
  • Green food color (optional)

How to make Kiwi and Pear Cake

  1. Sift the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt thrice. Keep aside.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the curd and sugar and beat well. Add the butter and essence and beat again until fluffy and well combined.
  3. Add the pureed kiwi and pear and mix well. Add the food color if you wish to.
  4. Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, little at a time and fold in gently.
  5. Pour into a greased tin and bake at 180 degrees C for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
