Lemon Pepper Chicken

Ingredients to make Lemon Pepper Chicken

  • 1 whole chicken, cleaned and cut into medium pieces
  • 3 lemon
  • 2 tsp white pepper powder
  • 2 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 whole egg
  • Pinch yellow food colour
  • 3 tbsp cornflour
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • Pinch of garam masala powder
  • salt as per taste

How to make Lemon Pepper Chicken

  1. In a bowl, add egg and beat well.
  2. Add salt, ginger, garlic paste, white pepper powder, lemon juice, yellow colour, vinegar, garam masala powder and mix well.
  3. Add chicken pieces into the marination masala and marinate.
  4. Add cornflour just few minutes before frying and mix well to coat it well.
  5. Heat oil in a deep pan on medium flame and let it get hot. Add in the chicken pieces and turn flame to high, add many pieces but do not overcrowd the pan, leave it for 2 minutes and then flip the chicken. Reduce the flame to medium and leave it for 2 minutes.
  6. Then keep flipping and stirring till the chicken turns golden, be careful with the flame. Cook the chicken evenly but without burning it.
  7. Remove on a plate and serve along with rice dishes or rotis.
