Onion Chicken Pakoda

Ingredients to make Onion Chicken Pakoda

  • 2 finely sliced onions
  • 1/2 cup boneless chicken pieces, cut into bite size
  • salt as per taste
  • 1 tsp red chilly powder
  • 3-4 tbsp besan
  • 1 tbsp rice flour
  • turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala powder 1/4 tsp
  • hing a pinch
  • 1 green chilly
  • oil to fry

How to make Onion Chicken Pakoda

  1. Add sliced onions in a mixing bowl. Add chopped chicken.
  2. Add salt, chilly powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, chopped green chilly, hing and mix well.
  3. Add besan and rice flour.
  4. Start mixing the mixture with your palms like kneading the dough, it will release moisture from onions and chicken and will coat the flour evenly.
  5. Heat oil in a kadai and when it turns hot, add small dumplings. Make sure it is not very big in size. Fry on medium hot oil until golden, keep stirring and when done remove on a plate with tissue.
  6. Serve with chutney or ketchup.

My Tip:

Make bite size small pieces of chicken. You can also add cornflour.
