ABOUT Paneer Butter Masala RECIPE

Paneer cooked in a rich creamy gravy.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Paneer - 250 gm
  2. Cashew and almond paste - 1 tbsp
  3. Onion -1
  4. Butter - 1 tbsp
  5. Cream - 1 tbsp
  6. Kasuri methi - 1 tsp
  7. Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
  8. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  9. Garam Masala powder - 1/2 tsp
  10. Salt - As required
  11. Milk as required (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cut paneer in cubes. Heat 1/2 tbsp butter in a pan and fry paneer pieces till light golden in colour.
  2. Cut onion in big pieces and lightly fry in remaining butter. Let it cool.
  3. Grind fried onion pieces and make a fine paste.
  4. Heat remaining 1/2 tbsp butter in a pan. Add kasuri methi and onion paste. Cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Add cashew and almond paste. Add dry masalas and salt. Add some water or milk and cook on medium flame for 3 minutes.
  6. Add fried paneer pieces and cook another 4 minutes.
  7. Add fresh cream and serve hot with butter naan.
