Eggless Chocolate Brownie

Ingredients to make Eggless Chocolate Brownie

  • maida : 1 1/4 cup
  • Powdered sugar : 3/4 cup
  • Unsalted butter : 120 g soft at room temperature
  • Chocolate essence : 1 tsp
  • Cocoa powder : 1/3 cup
  • Unsour curd : 3/4 cup
  • Milk : 1/4 cup
  • Baking powder : 3/4 tsp
  • Mixed fruit jam : 1 1/2 tbsp
  • Nutella chocolate spread : 1 tbsp (optional)
  • Chocolate chips : 1/2 cup (optional)
  • 5 star or any chocolate chopped for topping the cake : 2 tbsp

How to make Eggless Chocolate Brownie

  1. Mix maida, cocoa powder and baking powder together and set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, take soft butter, powdered sugar and chocolate essence. Beat them till fluffy. Add milk and mix.
  3. Now add little by little maida mixture and mix. Add curd and add all the maida mixture and mix well.
  4. Add jam and nutella. Mix.
  5. Batter will become soft and smooth. Consistency of the batter is thick but flowing. Add chocolate chips and again mix very softly.
  6. Preheat oven to 190 C for 10 minutes. Grease and dust the cake pan properly.
  7. Pour the batter in the greased cake pan and sprinkle chopped chocolate on top. Don't mix it.
  8. Bake it for 40 minutes on the centre rack.
  9. Check with toothpick if it comes out clean then the cake is baked, if not then bake it again for 4-5 minutes.
  10. Remove from the oven and let it cool completely. Loosen the sides of the cake with knife. Invert it on the plate. Slice and serve with ice cream.

My Tip:

Do not over bake the cake otherwise the cake will become hard.
