Chocolate Crinkle Cookies

Ingredients to make Chocolate Crinkle Cookies

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 cup confectioner's sugar

How to make Chocolate Crinkle Cookies

  1. Take butter in a large bowl and beat it with hand blender until smooth and fluffy.
  2. Now add granulated sugar and beat on high speed till its fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla essence and beat for a minute.
  4. Take another bowl and sieve the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt and mix well.
  5. Now slowly add to the wet ingredients and mix well .
  6. Cover the bowl with cling wrap and keep it in the refrigerator for minimum 3 hours.
  7. Chilling prevents the dough from spreading.
  8. Preheat oven to 180 C.
  9. Line the baking tray with parchment paper and keep aside.
  10. Now scoop the dough (gooseberry size ) and roll into balls.
  11. Roll the dough balls in confectioners sugar generously and arrange it in the baking tray.
  12. Bake the cookies in pre heated oven for 8-10 minutes.
  13. Let it rest in the baking tray for some time.
  14. Once cooled store it in the air tight container.
