Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 1/2 cup maida
  2. 1/2 cup mint and spinach puree
  3. 1 tsp Salt
  4. 1 small cabbage
  5. 10-12 soya chunks
  6. 1 Onion
  7. 2 green chilli
  8. 5 dry red chilli
  9. 5-6 garlic cloves
  10. 1 cup tomato pruee
  11. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  12. 3 tsp soya sauce
  13. 3 tsp tomato ketchup

Instructions

  1. FOR DOUGH
  2. In a bowl add maida, salt then add spinach puree and start kneeding dough , add 2 tsp oil, add water as needed and make a dough rest it for 1/2 hr.
  3. FOR STUFFING
  4. Add oil in a pan then add chopped onions, green chilli and saute it then add chopped cabbage , grinded soya chunks (soaked soya chunks in hot water for 30 min) and saute it till all water dries from it then add salt, red chilli powder, soya sauce, tomato ketchup and mix it properly,
  5. Let it cool down then stuff it in momo dough by making small rounds of it like puri or do it using gujiya maker, seal it using water. Steam it in idli steamer for 10-15 min by using banana leaves or butter paper. (Optional) Then you can shallow fry this in medium hot oil until crisp.
  6. FOR SAUCE
  7. Add some oil in pan then add chopped garlic and saute it for few min then add tomato puree and cook it for 5 min then add red chilli paste (soak dry red chilli in hot water for 30 min) and mix it properly , add salt to taste. Your sauce is ready.
  8. Serve momos with sauce.
