Barley & Jaggery Biscuits

Ingredients to make Barley & Jaggery Biscuits

  • 3/4 cup organic barley flour
  • 1/3 cup jaggery powder
  • 1 tbsp saunf / fennel seeds
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 1 tbsp elaichi powder ( I used the outside green portion and powdered it)

How to make Barley & Jaggery Biscuits

  1. Mix the butter and jaggery together nicely.
  2. Add the saunf and elaichi powder.
  3. Slowly add the organic Barley flour and mix well.
  4. Wrap it in a cling film wrap and keep it in the fridge for 30 minutes.
  5. Take it out, make small flat round balls and place them on a prepared baking tray.
  6. Bake them in a pre-heated oven for 20 minutes at 175 degrees Celsius.
  7. Cool them off and store in air tight container.

My Tip:

Flavoured with saunf/fennel and elaichi/cardamom the texture of Barley gets really enhanced.
