Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Chicken - 500g medium pieces
  2. Potato - 3 pieces cut into half
  3. Onion - 3 pieces chopped
  4. Ginger-Garlic paste - 2 tsp
  5. Tomato - 2 small chopped
  6. Cilantro - handful chopped
  7. Coriander powder - 1 and 1/2 tsp
  8. Cumin powder - 1 and 1/2 tsp
  9. Red Chilli powder - 2 tsp
  10. Garam masala powder - 1 and 1/2 tsp
  11. Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  12. Pinch of sugar
  13. Salt to taste
  14. Oil - 1 cup

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken with turmeric powder and salt then leave it for 30 mins.
  2. Heat the oil in a pan put potato pieces fry it for 2 mins then take out from the pan.
  3. In the same oil put ginger-garlic paste stir it for a min, add onion and fry it until light brown.
  4. Add tomato, all the dry spices and little bit of salt, mix well and cook it for 2-3 mins.
  5. Add cilantro and marinated chicken, mix them well. When oil started separating from the gravy add water (as per requirement) or 1 glass.
  6. Cook it in high flame for 2-3 mins then reduce the flame in medium to low, cover it and cook it for 10 mins.
  7. Check if the chicken is tendered properly, once done turn off the flame, and Serve hot.

how do you get the reddish colour?... is ot the colouring chilli powder?
