ABOUT Whipped Cream Icing RECIPE

The basic icing for decorating any cake. You can top this with fresh or canned fruit, chocolate curls, sprinklers etc. If heavy cream is not available, you can use dairy-free options like Tropolite, Richs etc. They are soy based and are more stable than dairy-based whipping creams.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 2 cups heavy cream
  2. 1/2 cup icing sugar
  3. 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Fill a bowl with ice. Put another bowl on top of it and add cream to it.
  2. Start whipping it slowly. Once you see the cream coming together, add in the icing sugar and vanilla and beat until you get soft peaks.
  3. Transfer half of the whipped cream into a piping bag and keep refrigerated.
  4. Spread the remaining half over or in between two cake layers. Smoothen it using a spatula.
  5. Pipe desired pattern using the cream in the piping bag.
