Ingredients to make Ammtav

  • Raw mangoes 5
  • gur
  • Akkha dhania 1 tbsp
  • Dried Lal mirch 3
  • haldi powder a pinch
  • Lal mirch powder a pinch
  • namak as required
  • water as required

How to make Ammtav

  1. Wash peel and cut mangoes lengthwise.
  2. Take a pressure pan and add ghee when it slightly heated add akkha dhania and dried red chilli.
  3. Add mangoes and add haldi powder, Lal mirch powder and namak.
  4. Add water as required to cook and put lid on pan. Let it whistle four times.
  5. When cools down add gur and stir. Cook it for sometime.
  6. Chutney is all ready.

My Tip:

You can use a wok if you have really fresh mangoes.
