Ingredients to make Dudhi Muthiya( gujarati delicacy)

  • Lauki :1/2 kg
  • Besan : four big spoons
  • Rice flour : two big spoons
  • Saunf: a handful
  • Salt to taste
  • Curd: 1 cup
  • Methi dana: handful
  • Til : handful
  • Green chillies: 2 nos
  • Wheat flour: one spoon
  • Sarso seeds: two spoons
  • Refined oil: two table spoons

How to make Dudhi Muthiya( gujarati delicacy)

  1. Grate lauki don't squeeze it.
  2. Add wheat flour, besan and rice flour to it.
  3. Add curd and salt, chopped green chillies , saunf and knead into a dough.
  4. Make small cylindrical pieces and steam in a steamer or in an idli maker for twenty minutes.Cut diagonally into smaller pieces.
  5. For the tadka- splutter sarso seeds and til in one spoon of refined oil, add lal mirch and some haldi. Saute muthiya pieces well, till coated with the masala.
  6. Garnish with green coriander leaves

My Tip:

you can make muthiya of methi or any other veggie of your choice, its less oily and can fill your tummy for hours.
