ABOUT Peanut Butter Dosa RECIPE

This recipe is rich in proteins , carbohydrates and vitamins. It is also useful for diabetic patients, lactose intolerants as well as vegans.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1. Black Gram - 1 glass ,
  2. 2. Rice - 3 glasses,
  3. 3. Salt - To taste,
  4. 4. Peanut Butter
  5. 5.Toothpicks - (3-4)
  6. Stuffing - Ingredients - For First Layer : 1. Tofu - 2 1/2 Tbsp ,
  7. 2. Finely chopped onions and green chilly - 2 tbsp,
  8. 3. Peanut Butter - 1 tbsp,
  9. 4. Boiled Peas (Paste) - 2tbsp,
  10. 5.Salt to taste
  11. Stuffing - Ingredients - For Second Layer : 1. Roasted Chana dal - 1 cup
  12. 2. Grated Coconut - 6 tbsp
  13. 3. Finely chopped green chilly and Ginger- 1 tbsp
  14. 4. Salt to taste
  15. 5. Water - As required for making a coarse paste
  16. Stuffing - Ingredients - For Third layer: 1. Peanut Butter - 1 tbsp
  17. 2. Grated Carrot - 1-2 tbsp (as per taste)
  18. 3. Finely chopped curry leaves - 1 tsp
  19. 4. Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
  20. 5. Pepper powder - 1/2 pinch
  21. 6. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Preparation of Dosa Batter: Soak Black Gram and Rice for 4 hours. Grind. Add salt to taste. Ferment overnight.
  2. Take 1 tbsp of Peanut Butter in a pan, add chopped onions, chillies. Saute for 3 seconds. Now Add grated tofu, salt, peas paste. Fry for 2 mins.
  3. Take a small cup of roasted chana dal, add 6 tbsp of grated coconut, finely chopped chilly and ginger, salt. Make it into a coarse paste by adding some water.
  4. Take 1 tbsp of Peanut Butter in a pan. Add 1/2 tsp cumin seeds, grated carrot, chopped curry leaves, 1/2 pinch pepper powder, salt as per taste. Fry it and note that the color should NOT be changed.
  5. Take a pan and heat it. Now smear 1 tbsp of peanut butter. Then make a thick dosa with the prepared dosa batter. Flip and cook the other side also. Keep the dosa in a plate once cooked. Now make another circular dosa of less circumference than the previous dosa.
  6. Prepare a 3rd circular dosa of still lesser diameter than the previous 2 dosas. Spread the largest dosa in a plate and apply a tsp of peanut butter, a tsp of prepared tofu and peas stuffing.
  7. Similarly , the larger dosa with 1 tsp of peanut butter, 1 tsp of roasted chana and grated coconut mix. Now take the third large dosa and apply 1 tsp of peanut butter, spread 1 tsp of carrot mix.
  8. Now carefully fold all the three dosas, so that it looks like a folded mat. Insert toothpicks and apply some peanut butter on a knife.
