Okay, here is the thing! My brothers are not into laddus or kheer. Period. They are chocolate lovers. Though, I myself crave for my desi desserts starting from gulab jamuns to chilled kheers. But since Rakhi is meant to please my brothers, I thought of making something that they would appreciate. So here comes - Saffron Infused White Chocolate Truffles with a hint of Turmeric I'm not kidding, they turned out to be yum and honestly, you can't stop at one. The saffron takes the milk chocolate to a different level where the turmeric adds a very distinct flavor. You got to try it to believe me.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 7 ounces white chocolate - use the best
  2. 12 tsp heavy cream
  3. 1 tbsp. Butter
  4. 1 tsp powdered saffron
  5. ½ cup confectioners’ sugar
  6. 1 tsp Turmeric

Instructions

  1. Heat heavy cream, Turmeric and saffron in a saucepan over medium heat until warm.
  2. Melt chocolate in a double boiler. Pour heavy cream over chocolate and stir until incorporated. Add the butter and stir until melted.
  3. Let cool completely in fridge overnight.
  4. To make the truffles take about 1 teaspoons of mixture and shape into a little ball, roll in confectioners’ sugar until completely covered.
