About Seafood Paella Recipe

Don't be intimidated by the name. This Spanish rice dish, is very simple to put together and is best enjoyed warm.

Seafood Paella

Ingredients to make Seafood Paella

  • olive Oil 1 tblsp
  • Sliced Red bell pepper 1 number
  • Sliced yellow bell pepper 1 number
  • Sliced Green capsicum 1 number
  • French beans 6
  • Minced garlic 2 tblsp
  • Green peas 1 tblsp
  • Sea food stock or water 1 cup
  • rice 1.5 cups
  • saffron 1 pinch
  • salt to taste
  • White wine 2 tblsp
  • Large prawns 5 numbers
  • Mussels 2
  • Calamari rings 10-12

How to make Seafood Paella

  1. Saute and cook garlic in a Paella pan or any flat saucepan
  2. Add the vegetables and continue sauteeing for about 3 minutes
  3. Add white wine and deglaze
  4. Add rice and saute for 1 minute
  5. Add stock
  6. Add saffron
  7. Check for the doneness of rice. About 20 minutes in to the rice being cooked or until it is 3/4 cooked, add the seafood and cook an additional 5 to 10 minutes
