Fried Fish Tacos

Ingredients to make Fried Fish Tacos

  • Red snapper fillet / rawas fish 280 gram
  • For the batter:
  • Tempura Flour 100 grams
  • Cornflour 20 grams
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly cracked black pepper to taste
  • For the filling:
  • Shredded iceberg 1 cup
  • Canned Refried Beans 1 cup
  • Taco Seasonings to taste
  • Chipolte Mayo 5 tblsp
  • Sour Cream 5 tblsp
  • Spring Onion to garnish
  • Hard Taco Shells 10
  • Oil for frying

How to make Fried Fish Tacos

  1. Cut the red snapper fillet into finger strips, marinate in olive oil, taco seasonings , salt and crushed pepper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl , make a smooth batter with tempura flour, corn flour and salt mixed in chilled water.
  3. Heat oil in a kadai or in a deep sauce pan, dip the fish in the batter and fry the fish into crisp golden brown colour.
  4. Drain the excess oil present in the fish on a paper towel.
  5. Shred iceberg lettuce, heat canned refried beans, chop spring onions
  6. Arrange taco shells, put iceberg lettuce, refried beans, sour cream , fried fish, taco seasonings and chipolte mayo
  7. Garnish with spring onions.
