Tiranga Katori Salad

Ingredients to make Tiranga Katori Salad

  • maida 1 cup
  • Ajwain 1 tsp
  • salt according to taste
  • ghee as required.
  • Food colours (orange and green)
  • oil for deep frying
  • water as required

How to make Tiranga Katori Salad

  1. Put salt, ajwain and 4 tbsp ghee in the maida and mix. Divide into 3 equal parts.
  2. Make a dough of one part normally using water. Knead well.
  3. Put 4-5 drops of green food colour in 2nd part and make a dough. Similarly add 4-5 drops of orange food colour and knead the third portion of the dough.
  4. Take a katori. Grease it's outer side. Make a poori by rolling the dough and fix it on the katori. Leave for 1 hour.
  5. Deep fry on a low flame. After cooling down, it will automatically separate from katori.
  6. Serve by putting orange, white and green salad in each.

My Tip:

You can make various flowers, kachoris and matthis using this dough.
