Veg Butter Puff

Ingredients to make Veg Butter Puff

  • 1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup wheat flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp dry active yeast
  • 100 gms butter
  • 1 tsp chopped garlic
  • 1/4 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 chopped carrot
  • 1 chooped capsicum
  • 4 tsp oil
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • 2 tsp sweet corn kernel
  • 2 sliced amul processed cheese
  • 1/2 cup luke warm water

How to make Veg Butter Puff

  1. Mix the luke warm water with the dry active yeast, sugar and keep aside for 15 minutes.
  2. Mix with all purpose flour, wheat flour and butter using your hands.
  3. Mix yeast mixture and knead a soft dough. Cover with a cloth and keep it in a warm place for 3 hours.
  4. Dough will get double in size.
  5. Punch the dough, knead again and keep it for half an hour again in a warm place.
  6. Take a pan, heat it and put oil. Add jeera and all the vegetables.
  7. Add salt, black pepper, chilli flakes, oregano and mix them.
  8. Do not over cook the vegetables.
  9. Roll out the dough on a platform.
  10. Cut long thick strips and fill vegetables mixture, add processed cheese and make a log.
  11. Put more butter for better colour.
  12. Cook it in a kadahi/wok or bake in an oven for 45 minutes at 150 degree centigrade or more.

My Tip:

Make sure yeast should be frothy/active.
