Vegetable Dosa

Ingredients to make Vegetable Dosa

  • Basmati rice- 2 cups
  • Urad dal- 1 cup
  • Fenugreek seeds- 1/2 tsp
  • Beetroot puree- 1/2 cup
  • Spinach puree- 1cup
  • Carrot puree- 1 cup
  • salt to taste
  • Cooked plain rice- 1/2 cup

How to make Vegetable Dosa

  1. Soak 2 cups of rice and 1 cup of urad dal along with 1/2 tsp of fenugreek seeds for 6-7 hours.
  2. Grind the soaked ingredients along with 1/2 a cup of cooked plain rice into a smooth and thick batter.
  3. Keep the batter to ferment in a warm place overnight.
  4. Separate the fermented batter into 3 parts.
  5. Puree 1 cup spinach, 1 cup carrot and 1 large beetroot separately.
  6. Add each puree to each batter, add salt as per taste.
  7. Heat dosa tawa and spread a small ladle full of batter as per your design choice, add butter, cook till both sides are done well.
