ABOUT Fish Jahanara RECIPE

Mughal dishes are already yummy as they contain more spices but when it is made with butter become more delicious.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Fish 500 gms
  2. Fresh cream 1 tbsp
  3. Red chillies 3
  4. Green chillies 3
  5. Garlic paste 1 tbsp
  6. Ginger paste 2 tsp
  7. Onion paste 2 tbsp
  8. Cashew nut paste 500 gms
  9. Curd 100 gms
  10. Kewra water 1 tbsp
  11. Ground spice powder 1 tbsp
  12. Butter 4 tbsp
  13. Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  14. Salt to taste
  15. Sugar to taste

Instructions

  1. Clean the fishes as much as possible.
  2. Marinate with onion, ginger, garlic, cashew nut paste and curd. Add turmeric powder and salt, mix well. Set aside for 5 minutes.
  3. Heat 1 tbsp butter in the pan and add red and green chilies. After a few seconds add in the marinated fishes.
  4. Fry the fishes with all the ingredients till it releases the oil and then add kewra water and ground masala powder to the mixture.
  5. Add fresh cream and the residual 2 tablespoon of butter to the mixture.
  6. Simmer and cook the fish till it is done say for 5 to 10 minutes. Adjust salt and sugar to taste. Serve hot with bread or steamed rice.
