ABOUT Almond Biscuits RECIPE

It is a nutritious low sweet snack which perfectly goes with evening tea.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. 170 gms flour
  2. 115 gms butter
  3. 2 tbsp ground almond
  4. 85 gms powdered sugar
  5. A few drops of vanilla essence
  6. Almonds for decoration
  7. Milk for glazing
  8. A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven at 250 degree centigrade for 10 minutes.
  2. Sift flour and salt.
  3. Soften butter, beat the butter till light. Add sugar and beat again till light and fluffy. Add vanilla essence.
  4. Add maida to the butter-sugar mixture. Add roughly grounded almonds and make a dough.
  5. Roll out dough to 1/2 cms thickness and cut biscuits.
  6. Place on lightly greased biscuit sheet, prick with fork, glaze with milk and stud the almond pieces.
  7. Bake at 250 degree centigrade for 20 minutes then after 10 minutes reduce the temperature to 220 degree centigrade.
