Tiramisu Pot Shots

Ingredients to make Tiramisu Pot Shots

  • For the sponge cake :
  • eggs - 2
  • maida - 1/2 cup
  • sugar - 1/2 cup
  • Baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Vanilla Essence - 1 tsp
  • Other Ingredients :
  • Coffee solution (coffee powder mixed into warm water with some sugar)
  • Icing sugar
  • Fresh cream (I whipped it for couple of minutes using an electric beater and then added the icing sugar)
  • Cocoa powder

How to make Tiramisu Pot Shots

  1. Whisk the egg till fluffy, then add the sugar and whisk till foamy. Add the vanilla essence.
  2. Sieve the the maida and baking powder together into the egg mixture and fold.
  3. Pour into a grease baking tray lined with butter paper and bake for 10 minutes. Cool..
  4. Cut small round of the sponge cake and put one of the pieces into the jar.
  5. Spoon some coffee solution on the sponge.
  6. Pour some whipped cream and layer with sponge cake again. Pour the bridge solution and add the whipped cream
  7. Sprinkle some cocoa powder and chill in the refrigerator. Serve.

My Tip:

All the measurements of coffee, sugar and icing sugar is according to personal taste which can be decreased or increased. Traditional Tiramisu is made with lady finger biscuits and coffee liquor, but I wanted to make them in jars, hence I used sponge cake. I did not have coffee liquor, hence I used sweetened coffee solution.
