In general tart is made of maida, egg and baked whereas this is different as it is made of besan and cooked. Vegetarians can enjoy this as well. Indo English Twist.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Besan Tart ingredient are :
  2. 1/2 cup besan
  3. 1/2 cup powder sugar
  4. 1/4 cup ghee
  5. A pinch of cardamom powder
  6. Carrot halwa ingredient are:
  7. 2 cup grated carrot
  8. 1/2 cup sugar
  9. 1/3 cup ghee
  10. 1/2 cup fresh cream
  11. 1/3 cup khowa
  12. A pinch of cardamom powder
  13. Few fried dry fruits
  14. Paneer balls ingredients are:
  15. 1/2 cup homemade paneer
  16. 1 cup sugar syrup
  17. 1 tablespoon maida
  18. 1 teaspoon sugar
  19. A Pinch of soda

Instructions

  1. For the besan tart: Heat ghee and fry the besan on a low flame till the color of besan get changed.
  2. Add sugar and cardamom powder to almost cooled down besan.
  3. Set in the tart pan.
  4. For the carrot halwa:
  5. Heat ghee, add carrot and fresh cream.
  6. Stir it and cover the pan with the lid. Add sugar when carrot become soft and dry.
  7. Continue to cook till sugar is dried. Add khoya, cardamom powder and fried dry fruits.
  8. For paneer balls:
  9. Mix paneer, maida and soda. Mix well and add sugar.
  10. Make small size balls, fry them in hot ghee on a low flame.
  11. Dip in sugar syrup for 30 minutes.
  12. For the Whipped Cream: Take 1 cup fresh cream and beat with a hand blender. Add 2 tbsp icing sugar.
  13. Remove the besan tart from the tin, put carrot halwa all over the tart.
  14. Make little dent in the middle, pour whipped cream in the middle.
  15. Cut paneer balls into four portion and arrange on the whipped cream.
  16. Sprinkle chopped pistachios on the top and serve.
