Ingredients to make Mysore Pak

  • besan 1 cup
  • sugar 1 cup
  • water 1/2 cup
  • ghee 3 cups

How to make Mysore Pak

  1. In a bowl, mix besan with one cup of ghee, mix till there are no lumps.
  2. Heat the remaining ghee and keep the ghee on a low flame.
  3. In a pan prepare the sugar syrup, add besan to it.
  4. Stir in till the fragrance comes.
  5. Add 2-3 tbsp of heated ghee and mix till the ghee is absorbed.
  6. Again repeat by adding a little ghee, keep on repeating the same step until besan stops absorbing the ghee.
  7. Pour the batter in a greased tin and cut in shapes, let it cool.
  8. When cooled down then take out and serve.

My Tip:

If you have a steel whisk use it to mix, that will be easier.
