This recipe by Jalpa Gada is the perfect one to try at home for your family. The French Macaroons recipe is very simple and can be made in restaurant style using these ingredients. The time taken while preparing French Macaroons is 45 minutes and the time taken for cooking is 25 minutes. This is recipe of French Macaroons is perfect to serve 10 people. French Macaroons

Ingredients to make French Macaroons

  • 1 and 3/4 cup icing sugar
  • 1cup almond flour
  • 3 large egg whites
  • 1/4 tsp cream of Tartar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/4 cup castor sugar
  • 2 to 3 drops red food color
  • 50 gms unsalted butter
  • 80 gms icing sugar
  • 3 tbsp cream cheese

How to make French Macaroons

  1. Grind almonds and icing sugar and then sieve them to make the almond meal
  2. Beat egg whites , cream of tarter and salt till frothy
  3. Then gradually add the castor sugar in the egg white mixture and beat on high speed till the mixture is stiff n shiny
  4. Then mix in the red food color
  5. Slowly add the almond meal to this mixture n mix it till it has flat ribbon falling consistency
  6. Fill this mixture in a piping bag and pipe it on the silicon macaroon sheet
  7. Let it dry for about half and hour or till they are non sticky
  8. Bake them in a pre heated oven at 120 degrees for 22 to 25 mins
  9. In another bowl beat icing sugar and unsalted butter till soft and fluffy
  10. Then add the cream cheese and mix well
  11. Once the macaroon shells are at room temperature pipe the center with the cream cheese butter cream

My Tip:

Do not open the oven when the macaroons are getting baked till 20 mins , they may not rise of the oven is opened frequently
