Sooji Toast

Ingredients to make Sooji Toast

  • Bread Slices – 4
  • Semolina (Sooji) – 1 cup
  • Curd – ½ cup
  • Onion (thinly sliced) – 1 Medium sized
  • Tomato (finely chopped) – 1 Medium sized
  • French Beans (finely chopped) – 1 cup
  • Capsicum (finely chopped) – 1 Medium size
  • Salt to taste
  • Chaat masala – 1 tsp
  • Coriander Leaves – 1 cup chopped
  • Butter 2-3 spoons

How to make Sooji Toast

  1. Take a bowl, pour sooji and curd in it, mix well and keep aside for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Add finely chopped veggies – onion, tomato, capsicum, beans and coriander leaves into the sooji curd mixture.
  3. Next add salt and chaat masala in the mixture and mix all the ingredients well.
  4. Take one bread slice, put one spoon of sooji mixture on one side of bread slice and spread evenly.
  5. Heat a non stick tawa, put a little bit of butter on the sooji side of slice.
  6. Put the sooji side of slice on the tawa and cook it for 2 minutes.
  7. Apply some butter on the other side of slice and turn the side of slice.
  8. Cook the bread slice till both sides of slice becomes golden brown in color.
  9. Sooji toast is ready, Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
My Tip: you can also use cream instead of curd
