Post-Workout Hot Chocolate

Ingredients to make Post-Workout Hot Chocolate

  • 3 cups skimmed milk
  • 1 scoop of Muscletech Whey protein Plus powder (chocolate flavoured)
  • 1 tbsp smooth peanut butter
  • 3 tbsp Hershey’s 100% cocoa powder OR ½ cup 100% chocolate, chopped
  • 3 barks of cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp red chilli flakes (optional)
  • ¼ cup vanilla whey protein powder
  • ½ cup low fat ricotta OR Amul low fat whipped cream
  • ½ tsp grated nutmeg

How to make Post-Workout Hot Chocolate

  1. Heat together the milk, cinnamon barks, chilli flakes, chocolate whey protein powder, cocoa powder/chocolate and peanut butter on a medium flame, while stirring every 30 seconds.
  2. Turn off the heat once it starts to simmer. It should not be boiling. If it does, the whey will start to curdle. Discard the cinnamon barks.
  3. Whip the ricotta/low fat whipped cream along with vanilla whey protein powder for 2 minutes.
  4. Pour the hot chocolate in your mugs and top it up with whipped cream. Sprinkle the grated nutmeg over the whipped cream and destroy with delectation!
