Ingredients to make Banoffee Pie

  • Ingredients for base
  • Digestive biscuits -200 grams(crumbled )
  • butter-1/2cup(melted)
  • Ingredients for toffee
  • Condensed milk-200 grams tin (I used nestle milkmaid)
  • Ingredients for top
  • bananas-6 ( small)/4 (big) cut into thin slices
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • Grated dark chocolate -1/2cup

How to make Banoffee Pie

  1. First crumble the biscuit using food processor, then add into a bowl
  2. Pour the melted butter gently on crushed biscuits.Mix with spatula properly. Spread this mixture on the bottom of a round 8 inch pie or spring foam pan or simple cake pan.Press with hand properly to cover the whole bottom and side of the pan. Keep in the fridge for 10 minutes.
  3. Boil the unopened condensed milk for 1.5 hour on medium flame . The water level should be up of the tin, so check the water level aster 10 minutes and pour extra water if required.
  4. Pour the boiled condensed milk or toffee on the biscuit base and spread with a spatula.
  5. Slice the bananas and mix with few drops of lemon ,banana will be remained fresh and white.
  6. Add the 3/4 banana slices onto the toffee layer of the pie.Keep remaining banana slices aside for garnishing
  7. Beat the whipped cream properly. If possible put your whipped cream in refrigerator for 5-6 hours before whipping.
  8. Pour the whipping cream onto the banana slices and spread with a spatula or back side of a laddle.
  9. Garnish with remaining sliced banana pieces and grated chocolate. Keep the pie in fridge for 3-4hours,then cut into slices and enjoy.

My Tip:

Cover the lid while boiling the condensed milk.The condensed milk will ve caramelised very soon.
