Ingredients to make Chicken Banjara(dhaba style)

  • Chicken pieces 1kg
  • Butter 50gm
  • Black pepper powder 2tsp
  • Ginger Garlic paste 1tbsp
  • Shredded Cabbage 2cup
  • Fried onion 1/2 cup
  • Salt 1tsp

How to make Chicken Banjara(dhaba style)

  1. 1. Heat butter in a non stick pans and then saute chicken with ginger garlic paste .
  2. 2. Add black pepper powder, fried and crushed onion and salt and cook for 3 minutes. Season with salt and add half the fried onions
  3. 3. Heat two small pieces of coal on gas stove until it glows. Put that in a small steel bowl and put this in the pan with the chicken
  4. 4. Put few drops of ghee on the coal and cover the pan with lid for 5-8 minutes.
  5. 5. Take another pan, saute shredded cabbage with 1 tsp butter and keep aside.
  6. 6. In a plate, garnish this the chicken with the buttered cabbage and a the remaining fried onions
  7. Serve warm
My Tip: Place garlic cloves in the microwave on high for 20seconds. The garlic pods will just slip out of their skin.
