Egg Seebiyaan

Ingredients to make Egg Seebiyaan

  • 1 small sized onion
  • 1 tomato
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • salt to taste
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp gingelly oil
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic
  • Handful of coriander, freshly chopped

How to make Egg Seebiyaan

  1. Peel the onion and garlic, then crush both of it.
  2. Take a pan and heat it.
  3. Then add gingelly oil, let it heat for a few seconds.
  4. Put in the crushed onion and garlic. Saute it for 1 minute.
  5. Then add the tomato along with salt and chilli powder as per your requirement. Let it cook until it gets mashed well.
  6. Now pour in the water and allow it to boil for 3 mins.
  7. Break 2 eggs on the seebiyaan, allow it to boil for 3 mins.
  8. Garnish with coriander and serve it hot with rice.

My Tip:

You can use any oil but coconut or gingelly oil works best for this dish. Vegetarians can add potatoes instead of eggs in this dish.
