Ingredients to make Coconut Makhana Ladoo

  • Fresh coconut or Malai of 1 coconut piece
  • Fresh coconut/ Dry coconut - 1/2 piece
  • Makhana/ Lotus seeds - 50 gms
  • sugar- 1/2 cup
  • Desi ghee- 1 tbsp

How to make Coconut Makhana Ladoo

  1. In a chopper/ mixer grinder, grind both the coconut, sugar and add a little coconut water or milk to grind it well.
  2. Heat desi ghee in a kadai, roast the coconut mixture on a medium flame till it turns a little brown in colour.
  3. Dry roast the makhana in a kadai or microwave.
  4. Crush the makhana. Then add the crushed makhana into the coconut mixture. Roast it for another 5-10 mins. Then let this mixture cool down.
  5. Add rose petals to this mixture and make nice round shaped ladoos from it.
