ABOUT French Toast RECIPE

The very well known French Toast, a dessert cum breakfast-brunch. It's complimented with fresh prunes, apricots and cream to dress.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 6 slices of brown bread (thick slices cut)
  2. 3 eggs
  3. 3-4 tbsp sugar
  4. 1/2 cup of milk
  5. 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  6. 2 tbsp thick cream (optional)
  7. 75 grams butter to saute the toasts
  8. 5- 8 apricots
  9. Few prunes/dates

Instructions

  1. Keep the bread slices ready, if using a loaf, cut it into thick slices.
  2. Beat the eggs well. Add the sugar to this and mix very well till the sugar dissolves.
  3. Pour milk into the eggs and whisk again. Sprinkle the cardamom powder on top.
  4. Heat a non-stick griddle and apply butter. Cook it in a low flame.
  5. Dip the bread slices one by one into the egg mixture and toast both the sides by turning the griddle on and off.
  6. Cut these french toasts in the shape of triangles.
  7. Serve it hot with a dressing of thick cream. Keep the dried apricots and prunes on the sides of the French toast.
