Ingredients to make Palli Iguru Kura/ Peanut Gravy Curry

  • Groundnut - 1 cup
  • Chopped small sized onion - 1/2 cup
  • green chillies - 2
  • Grounded cardamom - 1/2 pinch
  • cumin seeds- 1 teaspoon
  • cloves - 2
  • cinnamon - 1 inch
  • Grated coconut - 2 tablespoon
  • Chopped ginger - 1 teaspoon
  • Chopped garlic - 1/2 teaspoon
  • oil - 2 tablespoon
  • turmeric- 2 pinches
  • red chilli powder - as required
  • salt - to taste
  • water - 2 cups

How to make Palli Iguru Kura/ Peanut Gravy Curry

  1. Boil the peanut with salt and water. Keep it aside.
  2. Grind the onion along with the spices provided in the ingredients.
  3. Heat oil in a pan. Add the grounded paste and fry until it turns golden brown in colour.
  4. Add the boiled peanuts along with water and turmeric. Cook it for 5 minutes on a low flame.
  5. Now add red chilli powder and cook it for 5 more minutes. Add salt if required.
  6. Once cooked properly, remove it from the stove. Garnish and serve it hot with rice or chapati.

My Tip:

Cook the paste over a low flame until it turns golden brown in colour. It provides an add-on for the gravy.
