Ingredients to make Wheat Balushahi

  • 1 bowl wheat flour
  • 1/2 bowl curd (not too sour)
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 bowl sugar
  • 3/4 saffron threads
  • 4 tsp ghee plus ghee to fry
  • 2 tsp milk

How to make Wheat Balushahi

  1. Mix the flour, ghee, curd nicely and add water to make a soft dough. Keep it aside for 30 mins and cover with a damp cotton cloth.
  2. After 30 mins, take the dough and make small balls. Press it with your thumbs in between.
  3. Fry it in the ghee on a low flame.
  4. In a pan, put in the sugar and water, cook it together to make a two string syrup. Pour in the milk and remove any curdle with the help of a laddle.

  7. Then remove, garnish it with dry fruits and serve.
