It's a baked dessert with rava filling.
Mix the warm water, dry yeast and sugar together. Keep it for 10 minutes.
Mix all the purpose flour, salt, dry yeast mixture and knead a dough with little water. Then add butter and knead it again. Keep it aside for 30 mins.
Mix in 2 tbsp of milk and saffron strands, and keep it aside.
Heat pure ghee in a thick bottomed pan, then add green cardamom powder and rava. Saute till a nice aroma develops and the rava is light brown in color. Remove it in a bowl.
Heat 2 cups of water and bring it to a boil. Add 1 cup sugar and boil it till the sugar dissolves.
To this, add rava, half of sliced almonds, raisins and saffron strands. Cover it and keep it on a low flame.
When the rava is cooked properly and dried, turn off the stove. Let it cool to room temperature.
Now divide the dough into 4 portions. Roll a portion with the rolling pin into a rectangular sheet. Cut the edges of the sheet to give it a perfect rectangular shape.
Now make cuts on both the length wise sides. Keep a portion of the rava filling at the centre of the sheet and spread it length wise. Fold the cuts to make a braided roll.
Similarly make other 3 rolls. Brush the rolls with melted butter and bake them at 250 degrees celsius till they are done.
Remove all the rolls into a serving plate and sprinkle the remaining sliced almonds on them. Drizzle honey on them.
